Admissions & Aid
In order to start in the School for Lifelong Education, you will need a high school diploma or its equivalent before beginning the program. If you don’t have one, we’ll help guide you towards getting one.
How to Apply

Steps for the online application:
When prompted in the online application,
- You are applying to
- Touro College
- Touro College Lander College of Arts & Sciences (Freshman Center) Borough Park/Jerusalem/Ohr HaChaim
- School for Lifelong Education
- If you have attended Touro, seminary, college, you are a transfer student. If not, you are a new student.
- Select full-time, no dormitory.
Answer the questions as prompted and save & continue. You can submit all material through the online application.
Supporting Documents You Will Need For Your Application
You will need to submit any HS transcripts and your immunization records in the application.
Transcripts
Official transcripts of all high school, seminary, and college work should be sent directly to School for Lifelong Education by your high school (and college, if applicable.) Transcripts issued to students directly are not considered official documents. Even if you do not intend or expect to transfer college credit, you should have all transcripts sent to Touro College. Immunization Records
Your physician will need to fax, email, or mail a copy of your immunization records on official letterhead, for two shots of MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) a meningitis shot within the past five years. If you do not want to take the meningitis shot, you will need to request an exemption.

After we review your application we will reach out to you for:
Interviews
We will set up a one-on-one consultation to help evaluate and refine your educational goals.
Placement Exams
All applicants are required to take proficiency exams in English and Math, which is used for placement purposes only. In the event that the applicant has not completed high school, has not taken or passed the GED, or has graduated from a foreign high school, an 'Ability to Benefit' examination (called an Accuplacer) will be administered to ensure that you are capable of benefiting from the college courses at SLE. Each exam is administered by Touro.
